81st of Ymiden, 720th Arc
Morning
The Viden Academy
He'd missed so many classes. Having to spend an entire trial with everything being shoved in your face and enlarged was jarring and it induced a headache in the young Yludih as his mind tried to keep up with the results of his overstepping. After the first few breaks making some sort of an attempt at getting out of his room, Sintih had instead chosen to remain at home and miss out on his classes for the trial. Most of his day had been spent with his eyes clothes, lying bundles up in bed and waiting. Time was the only cure for what ailed him. He was sure his professors would accept him being sick. After all, with the weather as it was, many had fallen ill in the aftermath of the heat wave and the tornado that had formed. It wouldn't stand out for another human to do so. As there were no guidelines on how absences worked, Sin figured he could simply inform his professors before or after class and see what they said.
When he'd woken up in the morning, most of the effects of his little stunt had gone away. Occasionally, certain parts of his vision would pop forward a little but they'd always go back to where they belonged when he blinked. Nothing he couldn't deal with. On his way up to the Academy, a quick thought about the weather popped in his head but he discarded it. Here in Viden the whole place would have to melt down for a few arcs before it would be remotely warm enough for Sin to able to enjoy the weather anyway. Anything less was as cold as always. He shifted his backpack a little before pushing in through the main doors of the academy. It was busy here as many students used this place to gather up before classes as well as many guest scholars and students who had to sign in here for their access to the Prime Atheneum.
Sin made his way past a few groups of students chattering away with one another. He didn't pay any attention to what they were saying but they were annoying enough that he noted the fact that they were talking with each other. Weren't these supposed to be the greatest future scholars of Idalos? Why did they choose to waste so much time on these useless talks? The face of an Eidisi girl popped up and he shook his head, trying to get rid of the memory from two trials before. Who was he to talk? He'd wasted just as much of his time as they had. He clicked with his tongue and dove deeper in his own thoughts, away from the chatting and away from the memories. The outside became drowned out by the facts and knowledge on the inside that he started drumming up in defense. He became aware of someone placing a hand on his shoulder but decided to ignore it.
