Shl'drei had been preparing more of his presentation for class for Professor Seams when he ran into a familiar bird professor. He'd barely walked into the hallway when the ruffled feathers of Professor Drumpf dashed into his line of sight. He seemed to be worrying his feathers, almost as if concerned about something. When he noticed Shl'drei coming in his direction, he perked and composed himself, beckoning the trainer with a flap of his wing.
"Shl'drei, my boy. How goes your academic journey?" The professor greeted jovially as he soothed his chest tuff and feathers. Curiously, Shl'drei responded honestly. If the professor sensed the excitement, he didn't show it but nodded and took his words with a prideful smile. "Well! That's certainly good to hear. No doubt you'll become an extraordinary mind, yes." The professor praised.
"Oh, thank you, professor," Shl'drei flustered under his praise. He had no doubt that the birdlike form didn't give praise that was undeserved. Though, the way his feathers ruffled, he was still worried about something even if he tried to hide it. "Is something wrong, professor?"
He squawked softly but sharply, and took a bit to clear his throat afterwards. "Well, there is something I need assistance with if you don't mind, my boy?" The professor seemed grateful for the question and the chance to ask for help. Shl'drei nodded, the begging of a smile on his lips as the professor guided him to a lecture hall and they talked outside it. If only Shl'drei hadn't volunteered.
