A Guide for Players
Topic Tags allow us to "tag" a thread (topic). We can then go to a list of all the tags we have and it will allow us to click on one in particular. Doing so (in this case, clicking on the "OOC" tag) will bring up a list of all threads tagged with that particular tag.
Any player can use tags to search - but only Peer Reviewers and Prophets can assign tags to a thread. This guide tells you the process for how this will happen, and what you can expect to see on your threads.
Tags: General Points
- Tags will be assigned, when appropriate, by Peer Reviewers or Prophets
- Tags will be assigned at review.
- The ability to add Tags gives us a very useful search tool, but only if we all use them. If a Peer Reviewer or Moderator forgets to assign Tags to a thread they've reviewed (and you believe they should have done so, see criteria below), please pop a post in the PSF and we'll get that done.
- Tags are added to the first post of a thread - you will see that your first post has been edited. The content of the post will not be edited.
These are the Tags that we have decided to start with. More might occur
- Place name (Rharne, Scalvoris, Etzos, etc).
- PC(s) name for all PCs who earned 5+ Renown in that thread.
- Mod-Name - either staff name or GST name (if applicable)
- If it's a GST, the tag GST
- Event, Place-Event ~ if it is an Event, it will be given that Tag and a separate Tag for the place it's in.
- Immortals ~ if the Immortals are directly involved in it.
- Ilaren, Audrae, Qylios, Ralaith, etc ~ as well as the tag "Immortals", the thread will be given the Tag of each Immortal who was in it.
- Blessing - if a blessing is awarded ( "Moseke Blessing", for example)
- If a blessing is taken to Adored ("Moseke Adored", for example)
- If a blessing is taken to Exalted ("Moseke Exalted", for example)
- If a blessing is taken to Champion ("Moseke Champion", for example).
- If a PC is given a curse ("Moseke Curse", for example
- If a PC reveals in a Domain magic - tag it ("Defiance Revelation", for example).
- Induk ~ if an Induk is directly involved in it.
- Lovalus, Sweetwine, Scaltoth ~ as well as the tag "Induk" we will give the thread the tag "Induk Lovalus", for example
- Dragon ~ if a Dragon is directly involved in it.
- Frosvinduur, Vindecaldra ~ as well as the tag "Dragon" give the thread the tag of each dragon in it.
It may be that city mods want specific things tagged in their city. Usually, this will be threads they run but city specifics will go here.
Scalvoris
- Tag Name: Fire Forged // Ice Forged // Song Forged // Soul Forged ~ When I review a thread for Fire / Ice / Song / Soul Forged points. If it gets points, I'll add this tag, so people get a clear idea of when points are awarded.
- Council Meeting ~ Scalvoris Council Meetings
Faction Specific
If the thread is specific to an approved Faction, then the player must make that clear in the review request - and the following should be added:
- "Faction" - the Faction tag allows users to search for all "Faction" posts
- Faction Name: The name of the faction should also be tagged. ("Order of the Adunih", for example).
