Impact Threads

Are you writing a thread that has the potential to impact Rharne in a significant way? Great! We encourage our players to make an impact in the city, positive or negative, as long as they're playing true to their characters.

In order to make sure the staff is aware of your thread and can use it to influence city events going forward, please respond to this post using the below template. Your reply should include a link, brief description, and the possible impact your PC's actions may have on the city. You may link to your thread as it's beginning or once it's completed - the choice is yours.

Thread: Echoes of the Past
Thread Participants: Patrick Barnell, Wendell
Brief Description: Patrick works with the Lightning Knights and Wendell to investigate the murder of an aukari in the Harlot 'n' Hound. A little black book is discovered on the scene and kept secret from the Lightning Knights.
Impact?: Connected to the seasonal event on the 21st of Vhalar.
Additional Information: Possible connection to the murder of Patrick's brother in arc 715.

Thread: Heal or Die
Thread Participants: Rei, Patrick
Brief Description: An attempt at healing some injured lives turns south as a group from the Dust Quarter create a situation.
Impact?: The Infirmary and those tied to it.
Additional Information: Possible connection between this group and Dust Quarter crime members?
Also can be used as a link to Wendell's recent disappearance from Rharne.

Thread: Blood on the Hand
Thread Participants: Patrick, Rei
Brief Description: Patrick is betrayed by Kar, a member of the Lightning Knights. Kar reveals that he was the one who murdered Patrick's brother. Kar is also connected to the black book that Patrick found at the aukari murder scene earlier in the season.
Impact?: Kar escaped the city of Rharne on 112 Vhalar, 716. The Lightning Knights are conducting an internal investigation regarding his actions and treachery, and hope to bring him to justice.

[Faith Augustin]

The Strangler

Because the 12 trials of Zi'da are over, Faith and Padraig decide it would be just as romantic to chase down the serial killer.

Thread: On the 72nd Trial of Zi'da, My True Love Gave to Me
Thread Participants: Padraig & Faith
Brief Description: They go to the Guard House, offer their services. They get shown some evidence. Faith determines stuff about the scarves, Pad about the clothes of the victim. Whilst there, the body of a 4th victim comes in. Faith is allowed to "assist" (she kinda takes over) the medical examination. Discovers that they weren't strangled *by* the scarf, but hands.
Impact?: Seasonal Event: The Strangler / Bulletin Board
Additional Information: Might have an impact on their reputation in Rharne, I guess? Fourth victim is found on the 72nd Zi'da.
Thread: Closing In
Thread Participants: Padraig & Faith
Brief Description: They pool together notes, discuss pyschology. Padraig tests the samples we took - we look at the medical notes from the previous victims and check to make sure there's no souls floating around that shouldn't be. The victims are all a physical type, the murderer seems to have some serious issues (oh yes, really.....) and works with horses.

Thread Participants: Padraig & Faith
Brief Description: They go to Sarah's dress shop - discover that the Strangler bought his scarves there but (le gasp!) the woman who made them has been dead over an arc. So he must have had them already! Then, the move on to perfume shops......
Impact?: Seasonal Event: The Strangler / Bulletin Board
Additional Information: Completed! We caught him!

Two part, possible impact to the Order of the Adunih and medical stuff across Rharne.

Thread: A Raft of Possibilities
Thread Participants: Padraig and Faith
Brief Description: Faith has an idea from a cooking technique to create a replacement to bandages which will have the added advantages of fighting off infection, drawing out any badness in the wound, reducing the risk of infection by being clean, airtight and are see=through so help identification of problems.
Impact?: Order of the Adunih, certainly. Medics in Rharne generally. Maybe the whole world!
Additional Information: This is the planning stage.
Thread: A Clear Solution
Thread Participants: Padraig and Faith
Brief Description: Having worked out the way they think they might do this, Pad and Faith implement it, testing it and messing around with the ingredients / quantity etc.
Impact?: Order of the Adunih, certainly. Medics in Rharne generally. Maybe the whole world!
Additional Information: This is the implementation stage. Padraig has Legendary Alchemy, Expert in Chemistry. Faith has Legendary Medicine and uses a bit of her Cooking skill (dried celery powder......)

Both threads now completed. "The Raft" is done!
It is being tested here (Faith solo in the Order of the Adunih) but I'm not putting in the results of those tests.

Thread: Jail Cell Investigation
Thread Participants: Kura Wolfsdotter
Brief Description: Kura hunts and catches a criminal
Impact?: Crime rate for the coming season, confidence of prison guards in the coming season, trust in mercenaries for the coming season, trust towards Imperials maybe.
Additional Information: Yay hunting!

Thread: Push Comes to Shove
Thread Participants: Lynessa
Brief Description: Done back in Ymiden actually, Patrick did a little work to rearrange the shipments of a few secret 'dealers' in Dust Town
Impact?: Merchant's Guild if any of them secretly deal in drugs, overall just some minor shipments delivered somewhere else completely different than intended recipients.
Additional Information: Forgot to add this a while back, but it's the starting point leading up to a hopeful business arrangement with the Shadow Quarter.

Brief Description: Murrrrrderrrrrr.
Impact?: Lightning Knights are no doubt investigating, maybe a few grief stricken nobles as well.
Additional Information: It's still carrying out but the initial murder scene has been written first post.
