Originally we didn't have the knowledge requirement, but we added it in to avoid characters reaching legendary in skills they've never once written about, like Alistair mentioned. We are aware that ratios or such may need tweaking, but there hasn't been enough time or testing to know what, if anything, needs to be changed. If something is broken we will fix it, but we want to be sure it's broken before we start messing with it, ya know what I mean?
