The Blessing of Aelig: Argua
Aelig Blurb here about how and who Aelig marks.
Blurb about appearance
When you are given this blessing - you must choose THREE other Immortals. These are Immortals you may NEVER be blessed by and who will recognise you as one of Aelig’s on sight. These are your Nemesis Immortals.

Favored
| Ability Name | Ability Description |
|---|---|
| Two Face | Has the ability to project an illusion of a face on their own features, and those of up to one other person. This face must be one the Argua has studied and memorised, which they can then ‘store’. At Favored, they can ‘store’ two faces, at Adored, four faces are available. The Exalted of Aelig can store six faces and may put them on the face of themselves and up to two others, and Aelig’s Champion has the ability to store up to ten faces and place them on no more than four individuals. The memorised face can be your own. This ability lasts for one break at Favored, three at Adored, a full trial for Exalted and two trials to Aelig’s Champion. |
| Copycat | Has the ability to modulate their own voice to mimic another. In order to activate this effectively, the Argua must have heard the person speaking for at least one bit (minute). As with Two-Face, the Argua can store a certain number of voices. Initially, this number is two, at Adored it increases to four. When reaching Exalted, it becomes six and then, Aelig’s Champion can store ten distinct voices. This ability lasts for one break at Favored, three at Adored, a full trial for Exalted and two trials to Aelig’s Champion. |
| Chaos Skills (Minor) | Add an extra three skill points to any skill of the players choosing. |
| Chaos & Nemesis (Minor) | Upon receiving this ability, the character must get a mod to roll 1d3 (in Discord Chat, with a screenshot), which determined which of the Nemesis Immortals this ability applies to. Then, the player has the equivalent ability (fourth in Favored) from that Nemesis Immortal’s blessing. |
| Subterfuge | An illusion can be cast onto an object, making it effectively seem to disappear for up to one break. At Favored, this is an illusion of vision only; the object can not be seen, but is “visible” to all other senses. At Adored this extends to one other sense (player’s choice), at Exalted, three (player’s choice). When Aelig’s Champion uses this ability, the object is completely covered by an illusion and, to all intents and purposes, appears to be not there. The size of the object also changes as the mark progresses. At Favored, it is a small object, such as a bottle, or dagger. At adored, the size becomes moderate and would include a longsword or a barrel. Upon reaching Exalted, this covers a large chest or a warhammer. Should Aelig’s Champion use this ability, it will work on large objects such as trees or carriages. However, it does not work on people, only unmoving objects. Anything inside the object is also masked by the illusion, even if it is a person. |
| Weapon of Lies (Minor) | Can fight with a weapon and use illusion to change the dimensions of the weapon to fool the opponent for a break (hour). This may be used once a trial. |
| Synesthesia | The blessed of Aelig can create chaos in the senses of one target. Those who experience synesthesia might taste colour, see smells and feel sound. This is incredibly debilitating for those who are not used to it and significantly lessens all skills which rely in any way on any sense. It also very strongly messes with pain receptors (as they are, effectively, touch). In order to resist this, the target must have a Discipline, Meditation or Detection skill at Competent, when the blessed is Favored. It requires Expert to resist the Synesthesia of an Adored, Mastery against the Exalted and only a Grandmaster (with capstone) may resist Aelig’s Champion. This ability can affect one person at Favored, three at Adored, five at Exalted and up to ten at Champion. |
| Skill Mimic (Minor) | Can mimic one skill from another person; they do not need to be either willing or aware. At this level, the skill is mimicked at two levels below the target’s skill. At this level it may not be a Domain Magic which is mimicked; this ability lasts for one trial. It has no impact on the skills of the target, simply increasing the skills of the Blessed. |
| Impending death (Minor) | Can cause one individual to have what seem to be visions or prophecies. These visions are focused on the target, individual and specific to them, and their loved ones. These are never gentle visions, always foretelling of personal tragedy, chaos or global doom. These visions will continue for up to five trials, happening at least four times per trial. They can be recognised as false by those who are Competent or higher in Meditation. |

The Curse of Aelig
What when why...
Condemned
The subject is now given a constant onslaught of horrific visions and sounds to plague their senses. The condemned subject becomes, in view of all medical professionals, completely insane.
Hated
The subject is left faceless, given a blood streaming tattoo on the back that soaks any clothing worn and with skin so transparent that all bones and organs are visible. Further, the subject will smell of rotten corpses that can be picked up half a mile away. No amount of illusion or any magic for that matter, can hide or mitigate it in any way.
Despised
The subject is constantly bombarded with fear. It is difficult to sleep at night due to the nightmares and illusions of the dead and even living who come to haunt and chastise. Category:Immortal Info & Marks Category:Immortal Marks
