Personal NPC
Personal NPCs are available for players to use as children, partners, close friends, slaves, and family members of their chosen character. This type of NPC must be applied for via the Prophet Support Forum in order to gain permission to write and keep them. If players wish to use someone else's NPC, they must request permission from the player who has responsibility for that NPC.
Update Regarding Ghost NPCs
Ghosts are Personal NPCs just like any other. With the release of ghosts on February 2nd, 2019, all ghosts acting in an NPC manner with a PC MUST have PSF approval. Ghosts get an additional 50 Skill Points (for a total of 150), but these must be used in Ghost Skills (no more than 30 in one skill). Additionally, only the Ghost Skills may be advanced while the ghost is a ghost. Ghost NPCs are able to come back to life, following the same protocols as a PC. When applying for a Ghost NPC, you must specify which type of ghost they are, as well as including how they died, and at least 1 anchor (typically the PC since the ghost is haunting them.)
Rules for playing a Personal NPC
- I. The NPC cannot give your PC anything (unless you pay for it).
- II. The NPC cannot initiate your PC into any Arcane magic.
- III. The NPC should never be the main focus of the story.
- IV. The NPC can travel with your PC.
- VI. Personal NPCs may not have Domain Magic.
To apply for a personal NPC, fill out the information below and post it to the Prophet Support Forum titled ‘Personal NPC’.
