Weather

The first quarter of Ashan is rather clear. Few clouds litter the sky and any form of precipitation is a rare sight; however, this does not mean it is warm. The air is still cold and the ground frozen. The lack of clouds continue to keep it cold as over night the heat can escape, but the ice does begin to gradually melt due to the suns' heat they provide. This period lasts for around the first 30 trials and the ice is finally gone by the 35th trial. This period begins around the 30th trial of Ashan and it brings with it the rains of Rebirth. These rains come in patchy showers that bring the forest back to life after the cold cycle. These rains are vital to the growth of the plant life in the forest. They help the trees to bud and grow leaves as well as the forest floor to be littered with flowers and other underbrush. It is warmer then, however, the breeze can make it feel cold. It can be felt on the air that the world is warming up as it also grows more humid. Around the 80th of Ashan it has grown to a comfortable warm temperature with regular showers that feed the forest.

Seasonal Events

  • Trial 1st of Ashan
    • The suns reappear from behind Zilis and many find it a time to rejoice. Many families within the city will now have a small feast, being careful not to use up too many of their supplies. Other people may take this as a time to visit those in need who may be struggling with low supplies.
  • Trial 5th of Ashan
    • Some people have noticed that the Tir'ike family have still not emerged from their home since the beginning of Cylus and people are beginning to worry about them. Few remain locked away after the end of Cylus as many have a need to find supplies and alert friends to their good health.
  • Trial 7th of Ashan

  • Trial 27th of Ashan
    • The middle of Ashan brings sunlight to the forest, melting areas that had been frozen throughout Cylus. The Cikkaken begin to put groups together to go out into the Makubwa Lori in search of fallen and dead trees. More permits for felling trees are given in hopes to restock wood for the Hunter’s Fire Pit. In efforts to draw citizens to aid the city, the city offers a monetary reward for joining these groups. (Rewards of extra nel, loot, and fame for completion of this event. Contact Ent or Nymph.)
  • Trial 30th of Ashan
    • The first hunt takes place. It involves hunters splitting into pairs. Citizens wait to see who can catch the biggest haul. This event lasts 5 trials and whoever catches the most wins. The prize is whatever you catch and the honour and respect of the other hunters. This event can be dangerous and all inexperienced hunters are expected to pair up with a more skilled and experienced hunter.

Becomers and Defiers work wonders before fascinated citizens. Those that have been marked by Moseke offer free services to the sick. A grand feast is held at massive tables, built specifically for the event, that extend between the Hunter’s Fire Pit and Moseke’s Temple.
