Description

Insects are a staple within Desnind - specifically ants. In the past, ants and other insects were harvested from the Makubwa Lori. This became a difficult task after Lisirra plagued the animals. Some insects became more deadly and large, making it significantly more dangerous for harvesters to safely remove large quantities of safe and small insects. In the recent arcs, one brave soul managed to bring small quantities of certain kinds of ants with one key element - the queen. Tey'ga became known as the ant farmer, bringing these small colonies back to Desnind to a locations away from the city proper. Here, he created large glass homes with a specific sifting design that allowed him to smoke and collect sedated, mature colonies for selling.

Tey'ga did not limit himself to ants. He will go into the Makubwa Lori and collect spiders, centipedes, butterflies, and beetles. He will roast, smoke, and candy these delicacies for the consumption of his customers. Occasionally, there will be even rarer delicacies, if he believes it to be appropriate. Catered events are rare, but possible.

Jobs

There is little skill needed to work at the Ìbátan. Tey'ga is looking for someone that is interested in insects and the culinary arts, but believe that this can all be learned. He would prefer someone that is respectful, quiet most of the time, and spiritual. He believes that his role in feeding the city is important and wants someone to be in tune with that belief. Wild, wandering minds are too uncontrollable for this career path.
