People are complex things. Sometimes too complex, or just complex enough that they’re all too simple. Death, though - Death is simple. You breathe one minute and you don’t the next. That’s it. A very simple process, one would say. But it can be done beautifully, or in the least artistic way possible - and illegally. Some people tend to favor that last part for whatever reason.

Someone has asked - asked is difficult to really say they said because this was a request made in money, not in words - for something a little unusual. Oh, it’ the usual job in an unusual way. They want you to have creative freedom. You’ve been given a location, a target, and for your trouble, some very interesting information. About your mother. They want you to - well, how does one put it - assist them in their dying. They say they’re old and can no longer be bothered by the mortal coils of the world. (Oh, they’re dramatic, they are. They liked their flair in their time.) But they still want that dramatic flair.

Becoming

Reptiles and amphibians are sometimes thought of as primitive, dull and dimwitted. In fact, of course, they can be lethally fast, spectacularly beautiful, surprisingly affectionate and very sophisticated. In this case, however, Dosan's Becoming spark is far less than that. It thrives on the thrill of the hunt and in this first awakening, it becomes evident both mentally and physically.
