Background: Saul's background is shrouded in mystery, although he is an open book to Famula. He does not speak of his childhood, although he obviously has some "triggers" - he is very protective of prostitutes, for example. If asked about his past, he simply refuses to speak of it. Famula made him her Champion for his tireless work in poisons - he is working on poisons which specifically target Sparks, causing the Mage to lose their magic without any damage to their soul - as it remains untouched.
