Adult: Tier 8 (please note: in order to try and keep them exclusive, the single ranch in Egilrun is the only place these are sold. Any male Scalvwings sold will be gelded so that they can not be used for breeding)

Habitat: Scalvwing Steed are found most often around Egilrun. There is a small ranch outside there where they are bred. Traditionally they congregate around the base of the Scalvoris Mountains and the ranch is just to the north of the village of Egilrun so quite close to their native habitat. That is not to say that they are not found throughout the whole island; they are, but Egilrun is where they are most often seen.

Lifespan and Development: Lifespan: approximately 30 arcs. Their development is much the same as the horses which they look so like, with the same gestation, birth and time as a child. They range in colouring from pure white through to pure black and with many shades in between. In their colouring they are unlike their equestrian cousins as there are a range of colours, including deep purples, blues and green.

Diet: Primarily hay and grass

Temperament: Depends on the individual beast; those who work with them would say that each Scalvwing Steed has it's own unique temperament. In terms of temperament they are very horse-like.

Abilities: Flight. Can fly for an extended period of time and also travel across land.

Weaknesses: Get skittish if not fed. Need to trust their owner and so the owner must bond / develop a relationship before they will allow you to ride them whilst they fly.
