When Philosia was born, she would never have guessed that she would become one of the most influential figures in Desnind. Born in Viden, she spent a good portion of her young life acquiring information. She attending the university with intent to become a professor and teach other young minds. Interested in teaching about current events in Idalos, Philosia felt that she had to experience the world before she could provide the best quality education to her future students. So, with little to her name, she set out on her journey around the world to collect information.
Her first stop was Rynmere. She had friends from university days that had offered her a safe haven in her travels. She stayed several arcs, amassing her nel as a private language tutor for aristocrats and noble children. She would even teach a few classes in children schools. With enough nel to buy supplies, lodging, and security if she felt it necessary. Although she desired to visit places like Etzos, Athart, and the Eternal Empire, she was far too concerned for her safety. Even nel could not spare her from the slave trade. If anything, it made her more valuable for abduction.
Rharne welcomed her with open arms. She learned to love alcohol and respect the party. Ilaren's city had been fabulous and carefree. It made her regret all the long nights studying while her classmates went to the taverns. When not spending time living in the nightlife, Philosia was permitted to explore the literature guarded by the Thunder Priestesses. They hoped that she might be interested in joining them. Knowledgeable cleric were always welcome to spread Ilaren's good name. Eventually she desired the next adventure. So, she left her friends in Rharne and headed for Ne'haer.
Not all were welcoming to her in Ne'haer. Her desire for knowledge was frowned upon and met with obstinate statements. They did not want to help her delve into Ne'haer history and secrets. She left quickly, uninterested in seeking information without help. She boarded a ship headed for the southern region. Rumor had it that there were young cities with verbal histories requiring an educated person to write it down.
Her initial take on Desnind and the Sev'ryn was bleak. They did not seem educated and were far removed from the modern world. Even then, her love bloomed for them within trials. They were far more interesting than the Northern world. They survived the elements by helping one another out, working as a large, cohesive group. Even she was required to give back to the city in order to live within it. She was offered shelter by the Oludïbọ Cïkäkkẹn. She suspected they were interested in what she had to share with them just as much as they had to share with her.
Over the years she developed fluency in Xanthean, making it easier for her to communicate with her gracious hosts. Soon she was teaching young children to speak Common. After some time, she was approached by the Tì’al. Their proposal was a permanent home within Desnind as a teacher. She did not hesitate to accept a position as a Yïyän, having finally found exactly where she belonged.
She excelled as a Yïyän, gaining the respect from all of her peers. They desired to learn from her and she was ever willing to teach. When her predecessor passed, she was unanimously voted into the Ítẹlẹ position by the senior Yïyän and T'ọhun. Before she accepted the position, she asked for a new name so that she would be considered as much as member of the family to them as she felt. Her youngest pupil, a toddler no more than 4 arcs, dubbed her Cre'tia. This was her infant word for "creative".
Cre'tia has been serving as Ítẹlẹ for almost 45 arcs now. Although she remains young in appearance, her hair has gone white with age. She hopes that soon a young person will be as interested in teaching and spreading Moseke's word to those around as she had been before it is too late for her to bestow any of her wisdom.
